Michael K. Clann is a representational artist who, perhaps by virtue of his profession as a mediator, arbitrator and teacher of negotiation, is fascinated by the psychological motivations behind people’s actions. Because of this interest he is often drawn to capture brief interludes of human interaction. Much of what people communicate is through body language and it is the gesture as much or more than facial expression that raises unresolved questions. He believes it is the viewer’s response to the unresolved question that gives art meaning.
